In 2012 two artists gathered to discuss the possibility of starting a school that would be different; a school that focuses on the student as its first and only customer; a school that leaves tradition behind and embraces new educational methods and learning style theories.
We soon discovered that it is indeed possible to do this. We had the basics; community and students who would be interested in such a school if it existed, and a legal means by which to achieve this.
To make a long story short, we embraced our charter in June of 2013. We received the physical locations, The Cotswold House, The Kings, The Lygon Arms in Broadway, Charingworth Manor, Ettington Park in mid-August 2013 and our Art Studio in Ebrington in summer 2015 .
The Magic of The Cotswold Art Academy was born.
Now The Cotswold Art Academy runs evening, weekend and weekday creative arts classes at over 5 locations across the Cotswold and we are aiming to increase them every month.
Choose from our extensive range of Print Making, Speed Drawing, Charcoal and Pastel Drawing, Watercolour, Acrylics and oil Painting, Sculpture, Pottery, Photography and Film Making.
